... Yeah. [ A sigh. He misses home too. ] Do you think they're searching for you?

They're probably a little busy, and I'm not that important.

[antietam]

[ Kazuma?? ] Sorry, but that seems kind of ridiculous. I mean, you probably disappeared out of thin air. If they're your friends, they think you're important.

[mnasthai]

Mm, but the entire island is endanger. That's more important than me.

Maybe one of them is, but I doubt the rest are.

[antietam]

[ Way to hit Adam's weak spot. ] They might surprise you. Does it make you feel better or worse to think that they're not looking for you?

Better, I guess.

Nine is the strongest mage on the island, Celica has healing magic, and Trinity is a really good alchemist. I can't even begin to compare to any of them. I'm not talented like they are.

[antietam]

Talent doesn't equal importance, does it? I mean, you're way more talented than me...

But I know it's easier to think that your friends are doing fine without you. You don't need the added stress of worrying about them.

[ He looks surprised a moment then nods, doing his best to accept Adam's words.

Still it's not a subject he really wants to talk about, as it makes him uncomfortable.]

I guess I'm a little worried about this week too. Things will be back to normal here which means...

Which means someone's going to die again. [ No uncertainty in his voice. He's given up thinking that the people here won't kill, especially with the threat of losing something important to them. ]

I don't think we can avoid it anymore.

Yeah, I think you're right. [ A beat.]

You think a lot of people would kill for such a thing?

I do. I mean, I really don't want mine destroyed. I wouldn't kill for it, but I feel like there are people here who value items more than lives.

The other motives weren't so bad, but this one is personal.

Mmm, that's true.

At least it's not a psychological effect one again.

Yeah, that wasn't fair. You'd think if they were doing an experiment on us, they wouldn't want to mess with our brains.
