...It has a great deal of sentimental value, but it's not something worth taking a life for. If what she says is true and it is to be destroyed, I will simply have to make do.

Oh-- my sketchbook. It contains so much of my work. [Marinette gestures to her case, which is in fact her homemade sketchbook.]

I think it may just be a copy. After all, how could Alice have gotten hold of all of these...?

[she does take a closer look at the necklace, though]

I see... I'm sorry. That's awful. [she leans over to glance at the sketchbook] I like the pattern.

[the necklace is basically exactly as previously described, nothing else notable about it]

I don't know. It is worth considering that she has done a great deal I would have thought impossible prior to arriving here, however.

Even still. Things can be replaced. People's lives can't be.

It's a tradition in my home. During Bamarrian weddings, the two who are being wed each cut off a small strand of their hair, and the strands are woven together. We keep them inside charms such as that to carry with us.

Wait--- married? Is this your mother's?

My mother? No, I don't think so. The charms are designed the same for the most part, but that isn't my father's hair color, and it would be a strange choice to tempt me with hers when I have my own.
