monday - thursday (33) survivors It had been merely a week since the last trial, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. Talent doesn't equal importance, does it? I mean, you're way more talented than me...

But I know it's easier to think that your friends are doing fine without you. You don't need the added stress of worrying about them.

[Even for someone who has internet in his timeline, he hasn't spent a lot of time on it and he can't help but look a bit perplexed.]

You're sure that's something you really want to understand?

We find the object the akuma nestled itself in, wrestle it away from the victim so we can break it, and Ladybug purifies the akuma. [that's a whole lot of weird nonsense words at once, adrien... he shrugs] Usually fighting is involved, but we've got both our weapons, so it's not a lot of kicking and punching on our parts.

[ Adam gives him that argument with a shrug. He wouldn't put it past someone here to kill for sentimental value. ]

How many important things do you have? [ Geez. ] I figured it'd be something like this. I don't own much. The only other thing... well, that belongs to someone else right now too.

[monsieurchatastrophe]

So none of you knew about the camp when you ran away. [he thinks they were lucky it existed in the first place tbh, but then again. it might still be a cult!!!!]

Still, smart or not, that's impressive, taking care of them like that... I've never even babysat a kid, never mind making sure they survive without anything.

[chiseler]

[It's about that point that he gets to his feet, swiftly crossing the room to join her to get a better look at the items in the case. It's probably for the best that he doesn't know how crazy the world of Bioshock Infinite really is since he'd have even more questions. Still, he finds himself leaning against the case opposite of her so he can look into it, getting a better look at Booker's photo.]

So he's pretty important to you. [There's another important question of why she was in a tower in the first place, but he's going to be nice enough not to immediately ask.] Did you ever find any of the answers you were looking for?

That was more of a royal we. [Excuse u. But really, it's not as though Luke has many important items either.] I've already got Backbiter here so...there isn't a lot else I could think of except for one thing. I don't even know where that is now...another thing that didn't originally belong to me. Actually? It came from the same guy the dagger came from.

[ Bioshock is a trip anyway you slice it, tbh. It's better left unsaid or at the very least, in broken little pieces. Elizabeth gives a shrug, trying to play off how serious the answer is. She won't show it, not with how she forces a smile. ]

No... not really. They were far from being answered before all of this. Now without having my powers, it just adds more into the pile.

I guess it's in God's plan? [ She sounds unsure, a faith crumbling. ] He's just a man, I barely - I mean... I barely know him.

Nope. [And his eyes close, because this conversation is way easier if he can't see anything.] When all three of us ran away, we didn't even know the others existed. Thalia and I kinda wound up in the same cave on accident. [And by "on accident" he means a mythical glowing goat led Thalia to him.] Annabeth was found a couple of years later also on accident. I don't think we would have known about Camp if Grover hadn't found us and started leading us back to where we needed to go. Until then...[An awkward shrug.]

...I made a promise to both of them that we'd be a family. I was the oldest, so I had to take care of them. [There's a hint of a grin.] I don't know if I'd recommend doing it that way though.

[ A scoff. ] Oh, sorry, your Majesty.

I wonder if there's a higher number of gifted items here due to sentiment... Or if we're both just subjected to a lot of hand-me-downs. [ Clearly he can relate to Luke a bit. ] Is it another weapon?

[chiseler]

[It's fortunate that he doesn't know her well enough to guess that she's hiding a lot more than she's saying, though his own paranoid way of thinking allows his mind to wander. There's definitely a derisive snort at the mention of God though. Sorry Liz.]

You barely know him, but you followed him to run away from your tower to a whole other city. [Yep. Calling her on that.] Sorta sounds like you're going off of somebody else's plan and creating your own.

You know somebody? Are they cute? ...Wait, what exactly is Team Rocket? Do I have to cut off any fingers?

[he does not quite understand this au but it sounds good so far]

Arbok doesn't sleep?

[A shrug.] Pretty sure it's the latter. Sorry to disappoint you. [But on the other hand it's really strange to be this relaxed around a person. Good job, Adam, you win for now.] And unless you count words as a weapon, I don't think so. [...and after a moment:] It's a journal.

What's the point of writing down in a book information you already know? Books are for the edification of others. This isn't for Alice, and I can't imagine she wrote it for us, either.

But perhaps Alice is the fruits of the labor by someone who found this book interesting enough to include in a library. It does sound like a recipe for an experiment, does it not? Learning empathy through observing art, or literature. Or perhaps engineering and observing weekly exercises in temptation and pathos, each wrapped up in a pithy quote suggesting a source of inspiration?

Just a thought.

Being valued means we can't get killed this week, right? So I figured I'd just stick around whoever, and that person shouldn't be targeted, since there'd be an automatic witness. Pretty clever, right?

None of the girls in Team Rocket are as beautiful as me, of course. Some of them are too polite or too bubbly or too young. It's horrible.

[She says these like they're all bad things but maybe they sound appealing to Hot Totty???]

Of course he sleeps, but can you really be sure he won't be awake on the other side of the door? Maybe he's resting whenever I'm without him so he can be awake and guard the door when I come back.

Still it's not a subject he really wants to talk about, as it makes him uncomfortable.]

I guess I'm a little worried about this week too. Things will be back to normal here which means...

Well. No, my family wouldn't be pleased, which is in fact the reason I sold it in the first place. But there's a whole list of reasons I would be persona non gratis were I to return home to exhaust first. We might run out of time to discuss the amulet.

[Is he supposed to say something now. Like, your daughter is adorable, she has your smile. Probably, but even though he isn't particularly fond of children, he still wouldn't wish that on this little gremlin. He'll keep his rude thoughts to himself.]

In a way, they've done me quite a favor. They can destroy mine for all I care, but I certainly hope yours is returned to you. I'm not volunteering, mind.

You don't have to warn me against running away without a plan. Even if I wanted to, I'd get caught before I made it more than a few blocks from my house. [...that sounds like he speaks from experience and he is quick to change the subject back to Luke's wacky camp adventures, though a bit shyly:] Annabeth and Talia....Do you think once we get out of this, I could meet them?

[he's a small teen who wants to meet his friend's friends ok]

I wouldn't say I'm totally cool with it. It is irreplaceable. I just don't intend to kill for it. Or die for it.

But... I'm the only one that's supposed to be able to see that key, never mind have it taken. It's impossible.

[ none of her friends ever seemed to notice her going to the velvet room - they just saw it as her staring into space. does that mean whoever took them here knew about igor? and theo? ]
