Science. Exploring the unknown. That's a realm of possibilities that will never be exhausted, for as much as we learn.

So, the more we know, the more we don't know...? Sounds pretty deep. So what part of our knowledge, or lack thereof, are you focusing on? Science is pretty broad, right?

That's the beauty of it. I was focusing on memory, but here, I want to investigate how much control they have over our bodies and consciousness.

Do you remember when they seized the people they put into 'stasis'? How they instantly couldn't move?

What are you going to do? How are you going to research that?

I'd hoped I'd be able to study them while they were in stasis, but that clearly didn't work, and I doubt the scanners in the medbay would pick up much on a live person...

Well. For now, I'm stuck in the observation stage.

Would...wouldn't it be useful to scan a normal person first, just for the base data? What if there's already something wrong with us...

It couldn't hurt, but considering the equipment belongs to our captors, there's really no guarantee it hasn't been tampered with in order to avoid revealing what they did to our bodies...

Well. That's hopeful. It kinda sounds like you're saying do nothing. Though I must admit, it is one of the easiest things to do.

...Wonder if there's a way to get someone in stasis without them turning into giblets and gravy a few hours later.

Just annoy the AI enough and I'll be sure to study what happens thoroughly.

I...I kinda pride myself on the ability to be charming, you see... Also, I really like not being giblets... I bet there's someone else who would be perfect for it, though!

Someone who isn't as attached to surviving, huh...

I might tweak the phrasing a bit, but generally yes. I bet there's plenty of people who would volunteer to egg on the AI. Then you just wait and see what happens to them. That's science too, right?
