Hello readers,
I am compiling this book to extricate the treacheries of the Winter of 2930. As many of you know, many lives were effected on the day of the Pelagic Genesis — 4.2 billion lives. I find it difficult to write on this, but I find it the only concise way to expunge the trauma I have experienced from my mind — my veins yet crave what we no longer have, and my mind is not allayed by the cold, metallic walls of the cruiser I now live on. If you are reading this, then likely you, too, can relate to my plight. You carry the burden we all do, as we drift through the ocean in the sky likely forevermore. ]

[ because it's rather hard to read a book with your hands when you don't have both free. the easiest solution would be to... well, put it on the floor and then use his free hand that way, just so avoid tugging on his handcuff-mate too much.
so, down to the floor he goes! so he can read this nice-o book in this murdership, his attention now split between adelina and their newfound discovery. ]
There. Perhaps I should take back my assessment of inconvenience. Are you unfamiliar with braille?

[she does as he asks, taking a seat while she reads the segment in the language somehow familiar to her.]
I have never heard of braille, I'm afraid. Can you read it somehow?
