WEEK FOUR

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (4)

monday - thursday

(33) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

[On one hand, yay, no motive! That is good! Unless this somehow leads to someone murdering because of something like this. After these three weeks Shelley can absolutely see that happening.

On the other hand...who the hell is Carta Issue? Shelley doesn't know. She doesn't mind, though, that means there's someone she should finally meet]

...I'm not sure if I'm glad or if I'm worried about all this.

[Not said towards you, Alice! She's just talking with herself right now]

[Surprisingly, Carta doesn't seem as bothered by the predicament as she normally would have been; the lack of motive being a weight off her shoulder even if she's not one to show it.]

Am I to be a babysitter, now?
tacklefordwhimsy: I think that is no good. (Erin?)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-06-28 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself!

[Pause]

...most of the time. But there will be no trouble at all, right? You don't seem like the type to randomly get in trouble.

The only predicament I see myself getting into in the near future is procuring a decent cup of tea. Goodness knows I'll be in need of one after this. [rattling the cuff chain for emphasis, but there really isn't any dignified way to throw a tantrum over it.]

tacklefordwhimsy: That is how I roll (Going undercover)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-06-28 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[You're off to a good start. Shelley greatly approves of tea. She's even grinning now]

That'd be nice. The tea available isn't good, but it's better than nothing. If you want to go for a cup now we can get one...uh...let's see...

[...okay, she isn't daring to start walking and pull the handcuffs as if she were attempting to walk a dog. What is the protocol when one is handcuffed to someone else, do they need to coordinate their walking, what a disaster]

[One of the upside of being unceremoniously handcuffed to a military commander is that they seem to have the general air of knowing what to do.

The downside, however, is that Carta takes being followed for granted and is already leading the way, taut chain in tow.]

Heaven forbid these infernal powers in charge suggest we murder for better food arrangements. I wouldn't start worrying until then. [Joking, joking, perhaps...]

[Shelley regrets not taking charge when she's the one dragged around. Oh well. Too late. She's just going to follow and try not to be a dead weight.

She scowls. If that's the motive next week she's so holding you responsible for giving the AI ideas, Carta]

Could be worse. At least we're not being forced to grow our own food, I'm sure we'd all starve to death before a month passes.

[personal profile] blondophile 2016-06-29 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
[She'd almost be proud to inspire. Almost.

Wait. What.]

That's ridiculous. Farming is for peasants, or in this case, whatever mechanical peasant drones they would put to task. [This is actually insulting to even think about when she's never left anything heavier than a tablet.]
tacklefordwhimsy: Portugal did you no good at all (Stop being such a jerk)

[personal profile] tacklefordwhimsy 2016-07-01 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Shelley takes that as confirmation that yes, they'd all starve to death if they had to grow their own food]

And if those drones break down, what will we do? You know to fix robots?

[personal profile] blondophile 2016-07-01 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Naturally!

[Translation: Carta's tapped her feet impatiently in the past as one of her crew members tended to a mechanical emergency of some sort, at some point.

The sarcasm flies neatly and effortlessly over her head.]
