WEEK TWO - Trial
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (2) |
saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (38) survivors ![]() At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote. |

but honestly, why would you want to bother a man dressed like this?
... okay no, he also has these pants and dumb socks on too but seriously, that shirt. ]
no subject
Okay, seriously? C'mon. You could have worn, I dunno, pretty much any other shirt. I mean- I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a great shirt? But do you seriously sleep in that?
no subject
he just looks at jack and then runs a hand through his hair awkwardly. ]
Well, first of all, I got this before I met you? From Vaughn, and it was too big for me to wear normally so I decided to use it as a pajama shirt. I wasn't just gonna like, throw it out? It's a birthday gift, bro!
[ still a shirt with jack's face on it tho ]
no subject
Okay, for the record, I'm only saying it's fair because it was a gift. But.
[ He crosses his arms ]
Scale of one to ten, how disappointed were you that you couldn't wear it normally? Because that's going to dictate my reaction here, cupcake.

...
...
... lets out a tiny wheezy noise of embarrassment because he never thought he'd have to explain this shirt to handsome jack and oh my god he's explaining the shirt to handsome jack and shit he totally got used to the whole "it's just jack, the guy you killed" thing and now "it's handsome jack, the dashing ceo hero you're obsessed with" and shit he can't admit the truth here. ]
... Uhm.

Did you make that yourself or...?
[Please tell her that is just one stalker's fashion sense and not a real brand. A brand of Jack's face.]
no subject
What? No. My bro bought it from the Hyperion clothing catalog.

[She's just... going to cover her eyes for a second. Look, she's wearing real pjs. A tank top and track pants. This is so normal compared to faces.]
Was it at least a joke?
no subject
... Er.
[ it was to match rhys' mug but he knows better than to say that one out loud ]

Is that-- haha, omg, are you wearing a shirt with Jack's face, dude? That's. Hooo boyy, you got issues. Gay obsession issues, idk, something like that.
no subject
Oh, come on! It's just a shirt! I'm not the only one who wears it, it was limited edition.
[ rhys, you're not making this any better for yoursef. ]
no subject
I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse? Does that mean you bought it, with actual real money?

all she wanted to do was say hi, what the fuck ]
... Mr. Jack was not kidding...
[ she almost thought it was a joke, but no, here rhys is, wearing jack's face. it's proudly emblazoned across the chest of his shirt like some kind of family crest
why. ]
no subject
Hey, Yuno. Are you... alright?
[ wow what in the world could have startled this poor teen girl ]
no subject
Huh? Oh.
[ right, there's more going on here than her nightmares ]
...You're actually really weird, aren't you?

Oh Solomon's ass, I think I've just gone blind. From creepiness.
no subject
It's just a shirt, okay! A simple shirt!
no subject
[He pauses.] Actually, I gotta say I'm kind of impressed. There's only been one or two people I've ever met with this little shame.

[That must be sincere adoration, man]
You should try giving Jack a shirt with your face on it. I'm sure he'd wear it too.
[Is Shelley being facetious or is she serious? That is up for interpretation, because it sounds like she is both]
no subject
I... uhm. I don't think he would, actually.

[...okay, now it is certain she's messing with Rhys]

yeah, that's right. it's Miss Sutcliffe, aka Red, aka Grell who is dressed far more sensibly in a old fashioned white nightgown. take it, Rhys, it's been a long day.]
no subject
Oh, thanks. You're not trying to like, uh, poison me or anything, are you?
[ but he still takes a sip anyway so that shows how seriously he's taking that threat. literally on the same day jack yelled at him for not thinking about getting poisoned and here he goes again. ]

[her tone makes it clear enough she's joking, and she drinks from her own cup to prove it's nothing to fear. she's not the sort to kill someone in the middle of the trial - rude as he had been, it wasn't any reason to really try and harm him.
that thing that hit his head really was an accident.]
I didn't get to ask you yesterday if you were alright, and I was going to today, but...well, with everything that's happened...
[his own face on the suspect list, even if it was a joke. Fiona there. it's a slightly ridiculous question now.]
Instead I wanted to ask something else. Were you really taking photographs with your eyes? How do you do that?
no subject
[ she's just in a normal ass black tank top and some shorts WHAT ARE YOU DOING RHYS ]
