saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (38) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

The right area of the room has been sectioned off by a glass partition, which players can enter via a vertical sliding door. Raleigh's body has been laid out on a sterile metal autopsy table. His body is covered with a plastic sheet, but the sheet can be removed. Other than the position and the sheet, the body has not been changed from how it were found.

A holographic screen above the body displays two color photos of the scene when the body discovery alarms rang at 4:50PM. The photographs are close ups - they portray Raleigh's body, but no more of the scene than is necessary to do so. Still, if you want to check their position, it makes it easy to do so.

[just as confirmation for something, Grell comes in to see the body. don't worry, she's wearing her gloves, and she only wants to check Raleigh's extended hand - does the finger he was writing with have blood on it?]

So this is what happened. What an unlucky man.

Truly...I never got to speak with him, but such a fate is tragic indeed.

[and after confirming that there is blood on his finger, she covers the hand back up.]

There are two possibilities. Either he truly was writing something himself, or someone used his hand after death to do so - moved it and formed the letters there.

[ It's mostly dried now, but Grell will be able to make out some blood on his finger. ]

[Bull is going to develop a Reputation at this rate as the dude who won't leave the bodies alone, but. Someone's gotta do it, and apparently. That someone is him. The things he does for you people.]

[Taking a look over what Raleigh's wearing - what's the condition of his clothes, are they ripped or torn anywhere? How bloody are they?]

[The clothes are in decent condition aside from the whole squashed thing. There doesn't seem to be any rips or tears. They're pretty bloody - the amount's consistent with Raleigh's wounds.]

[He's back! With help now. Because teaching the younger generation to poke at dead bodies is an honorable pursuit. Checking Raleigh's head (what's . . . remaining, i guess) for any wounds that might stand out or seem different - like they might have been inflicted by "not being smushed by a robot." Being hit with something heavy or pushed into a wall.]

Made a mess of this one.

Remember to note any bruising. They could have used the salve for that like last time. [ Look Bull he's pushing all of his emotions away and looking at the body like it was never human.

So he'll check his torso for any bruising/wounds that seem different than smushed bruising. ]

[The head's actually pretty intact - it looks like the robot landed mostly on Raleigh's torso. That said, his face is pretty busted up, especially the forehead, and both his arms have a long dark bruise running from the forearm to the palm.]

[good for raleigh for mostly keeping his beautiful face, even in death, amen. #blessed]

Huh. Interesting. Looks like you're onto something.

[Moving Raleigh's arm to check and see if he might have been holding them up, like in self-defense, or he fell face first and tried throwing his arms down to protect himself.]

Those are... pretty big. [ Adam is going to check his forehead then! If he examines closely, is there any way to tell if anything hit his head other than the floor? ]

[It looks like the bruising on the arm's consistent with someone trying to take a fall rather than self-defense, as it's long and continuous. There's no sign that he hit his head on anything other than the floor.]

[ JUST TO BE SURE he's going to check Raleigh's legs for any particular bruising or signs of dragging. At least this kid is thorough. ]

Could be just from hitting the floor when the "robot" fell him on.

[Do the bruises on his arms match the way his body was found under the robot?]

[His legs are a broken mess from the whole getting crushed thing, but there doesn't seem to be any signs of dragging.

Do you think it's possible to tell if he fell with the robot, or if this is from, say, standing height?

With the bloody, oil clothes that were found in the arrival room. Is there a way to figure out if Raleigh could have fit into these? }

[Examining the photographs, what was the position of Raleigh's arm/hand in relation to the rest of his body? As in: is it stretched upwards, downwards, in a strange/uncomfortable position...? Was it the left or right hand? Mostly, he wants to check if it's possible the dying message (if it's legit) could have been inverted or funked up by the positioning.]

[It's his right hand. The arm isn't stretched, but his hand's about at the level of his head, so upwards.]
