WEEK TWO - Trial
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (2) |
saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (38) survivors ![]() At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote. |

body findings
[for the weaboos: a mini-kunai
with chain]Near his body two things were found, one: a decorative kunai about the size of my hand. Very blunt. It can't cut anything, I know because Rhys is an idiot and tried to cut himself with it.
[And then adds in:]
There was a trail of blood leading away from the body, that stop, abruptly, and a pair of men's sneakers with blood on the soles. The shoes were probably used to walk through the blood.

What was the state of the robot, exactly? I didn't get to investigate, Arbok wasn't feeling well.

Anyway, just read Rhys's stupid report, he's the one who was obsessed with it!

[Not that... he expects Raleigh to have walked around after getting squished by the robot, but they might as well check that out if none of the suspects are a match.]

medical bay
Someone used a roll of bandages and took a jar of salve with them.
No idea where the latter ended up yet.

The Alarm Distraction
The five of us managed to open the door, shattering some sort of object. Dave found a tablet, which had been set to sound an alarm at that time. Afterwards the five of us checked around the office to see if there was anything to be found.
I, Shelley, found out the door has no locks or handles to take advantage of, but it seems part of the door was chipped down in the corner. Maybe it was done when we all barged in

the tablet was taped underneath one of the desks in sleep mode
it only had the single alarm for 4:30
i checked around on it but nothing else was open or useful so thats all i got
also sorry for playing it like however many times after the first time

cafeteria findings.
•Blood trail leading in the room. (Currently somewhat smudged due to a certain person's carelessness.) Leads up to the second level.
•Pile of garbage on the second level. Nothing found in the pile.
•Pair of black laced shoes with relatively fresh blood on the soles, discovered under a table.
•Trail of bloody footprints leading away from the body that cease a few feet away.
•Nothing else out of place. Refer to Rhys and Marinette's notes for the rest, overlap expected.

He'll also try walking nearby in his own shoes, although they're just dress shoes and not the same kind found on the scene. He just wants to see if they resemble a man running or walking from the scene. ]

The Brobot
Did multiple diagnostics scans, couldn't find anything of use. No USB on the body so I couldn't download the harddrive. Could probably try and still get into the information but that would require tools and Alice not being an asshole about it.
Stabbed with a kitchen knife through a vulnerable area, not through the metal but where there was a small gap already instead. Wiring was cut, unsure if able to repair it yet. Again, the right tools + Alice's cooperation would be needed for that.

the shattered object
It was also about the right size to shove in the corner of the door, right where it slides.

That's one of the brooches that were in my room. How did it -?
[ If anyone would notice, it's a brooch similar to the one she's wearing. Different than hers, though - instead of a bird, it's cage. ]

[Shelley crosses her arms, thinking]
Should we take that as confirmation the culprit has the universal card device thing? Because I doubt Elizabeth would use her own brooch as an essential element in the alarm distraction.
Are you sure it was always in your room, Elizabeth?

re: robots
clothes in the arrival room
However, the description of these items of clothing are much more colorful. As you'd probably expect from the resident Bad Dad. ]
Found these clothes in one of those freaky stasis (?) pods. So totally found evidence of someone getting a little too intimate with the robots. Or the murder, but let's be honest, someone probably would stick it in a robot. Believe what you want in that department. I mean, I'd hide my clothes too if you got that kind of oil on them because getting that frisky with a robot leads to- Nah, nevermind, I'll leave that to your imagination since there are probably going to be kids reading this. Anyways. Just saying, if you're into robots, you can just erase their mem drives if you want to get rid of evidence of your shame. Not, you know, stab them. Idiot.
[ This is surprisingly all a preamble to a full-blown Jack-apedia entry, since he kind of misses these. ]
Pile of Shame (AKA Suspiciously Dirty Clothing)
A pile of clothes that are weirdly nondescript and were kind of just chilling in one of those pods we woke up in.
Sizing: Large.
Styling: Bad. More nondescript than a red shirt on a star cruiser.
Staining: So much. 2/3 with blood, 1/3 with oil, hence the robosex theory. Seriously, you'd definitely cut something off, I'm just saying. So don't. Probably what the murderer wore, though.
