WEEK 14 - I have been — and always shall be — your friend.

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (14)

monday

(41) survivors

You stand with your friends, your family, and your enemies, shoulder to shoulder. The deceased and the living are the same, now, and you've been reunited with the person trapped on the opposite ship.

You have four choices.

Four options laid before you - five, if you're smart about it. You have the option of staying on the Nuwa, a ship pre-programmed to land somewhere safe, soon, and then it's your's for the taking. You have the option of entering the Nuwa's virtual reality and crafting your own perfect world, but knowing it was a perfect world created by your own hand. Your third option is one of the Cradles, a machine created to bring you bliss, and permit you the dream you've always wanted, without the knowledge it's a virtual reality. Your fourth option lays in front of you, on the bridge of the Nuwa, and it's a tear in the fabric of reality, but you can see your home waiting for you. It looks idyllic, perfect, just the way you'd want it to be. Your fifth option lies in another tear - the tear of a friend. Perhaps their heart is kind enough to take in a stray.

The choice is your's to make, and whatever you choose, know that, for the first time in fourteen weeks, it's your choice.

It reminds one of the atmosphere of a train station. Some arriving, some going, to destinations known and unknown.

[and that's all the words he gets before she springs up from her seat, flinging her arms around him in a strong hug. it's more forward than she usually is, but there will be no more chances after this. no more moments where one might.]

...I read it all.

[words spoken as she's trying to be sneaky and put a letter in his back pocket. she isn't a godly thief, though, so he's free to catch it if he's paying attention.]

I've never really traveled by train, but I can imagine. Everybody gathered around saying goodbye, all of us splitting off…but that would also imply would could all come back. That's what I'm not sure about.

[Oh gods but there's a hug and he's not sure what to do at first…but he does hug her back. It's a tight, assuring grip and he's so happy with that. He doesn't outwardly say so…but he does rest his chin on her head.]

Everything? [He sounds a little amused, but also nervous. He allows his eyes to slide just a bit to see where her hand's going, but he doesn't stop her. It's clear he wants that letter but he won't call her on it just yet.] So I guess this is the response to that.

Yeah. You escaped too fast before this could happen earlier.

[before she could finish reading it and take the deep breaths needed to not cry over it. before she could tuck it in her clothing, close to her heart, where the most important words friends have said to her remain. no matter where she ends up going, she'll keep it there - the most precious things she has are the words people have given to her, and carrying them with her, she'll never lose them.]

And sometimes, with trains, you only get a one way ticket.

I'm not used to staying in one place for too long. Comes with the nature of demigods, I guess. [But he knows he owes her this much at least and he shows no signs of pulling and running off immediately. Instead, he considers her words.]

What happens if you get to where the train takes you and you find you don't belong there? Do you buy another ticket, or make the most of it?
