WEEK 13
| the pygmalion. . . ONLINE ![]() CAPTAIN'S LOG: WEEK (13) |
monday - thursday (10) survivors ![]() Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find that the ship is still in disarray; there is no robot prepared breakfast, nor has any of the damage been repaired. The ship bears power in the rooms you have decided should have power, though the lights are dim. Without Alice, you are all on your own. The ominous pressure of the Queen Mother still looms, though you no longer feel Her presence. taken list profiles private conversations setting rulebook ENTER COMMAND_ |

[but that's said even softer than her new tone of voice. for all that there are those that died that she wants to see again, there are laws about how the world works. essentials. things that cannot be altered.]
There's no option that leaves us free, is there? No miracle that means we'll actually be happy. If we revive them, then we'll all die due to the lack of power, won't we?

So cynical, Lady Sutcliffe! [She blows out a cloud of smoke.] If it's happiness you want, then enter your cradle. That'll guarantee to grant all your dreams. As for power, you currently don't even have enough to physically revive the dead at all.
But you do have just enough to get to a ship that can. Provided you're willing to look death in the - hah - eye.

"perhaps that's the very core of the beast - the unlimited number of outcomes that can come of what may have started as no more than an idea. if only they knew what they're capable of."
a dream box where something would always be wrong, not quite correct. a false happiness, a poppy dosage enough to sleep forever. or-]
You say it as if we haven't done that already, and cursed at it when it looked back. What would we need to do to get ourselves there? Aside from start the rendition of "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more."

You're going to need to fly the ship straight through the eye of the Queen. You've removed her last connection to the ship, but she won't need it if she can physically grab you herself. And she knows exactly where the Pygmalion's going to try to head if they want any chance of surviving.

[if the Nuwa was going to be endangered by this....better to know now than later.]
And it's Henry V.
[Shakespeare won't kill you, Lin.]

Doesn't sound like any scientist I've ever heard of.

[maybe somewhere in the Nuwa there's a copy of the play. maybe Grell's going to have to invent what parts she doesn't remember. but it's a nice supposing that doesn't deal with facing down that Queen again.]
I'm not naive enough to think she'll die if we drive the ship through her eye. But will it be enough to dissuade her from pursuing? Be the straw that makes her give up on trying to take over our ragtag group?

You act like I've ever actually been up against an eldritch abomination and eater of stars before. My hope is yes - or failing that, that you can get to us in time for us to siphon enough power to you and engage warp speed.

Warp speed? Sounds delightful. [sounds like something she knows nothing about.] Everyone else will doubtlessly have their piece to say, but thank you, Doctor. For aiding us.
