WEEK 11

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (11)

monday - thursday

(14) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

We can take a vote. But don't forget that everyone who died here has someone on the Nuwa as well. Alive or dead may not matter, but what they want matters. To me, it matters. At the least, I'm happy to yield my vote for his.

[Arumat's, he means. Though he's only been able to say the name in inappropriate levity. Never anything serious.]

If the dead wanted to vote, maybe they should have thought about that before they got themselves killed.

[His reply comes a bit too quickly to be anything with actual thought behind it. More like, he snapped and his tone reveals way more than he'd like to. He's pretty damn upset and frustrated, but. Never mind. Ugh.]

Whatever. As long as we find a way to keep the biggest amount of people alive, I don't care. We just need to keep the souvlaki from ruining whatever consensus we come to.

[That's fine, Jason. That doesn't make any sense, but he can appreciate that watching your wife die again was probably not fun.]

Agreed entirely. We keep the souvlaki from killing, we reach a consensus, we try to bargain with Alice, and then if we change our minds, we can always draw straws come morning.

I think our biggest risk is of the items that can kill remotely. The easiest thing to do would be to lock ourselves in the conference room and keep our hands where everyone can see them. But someone can still cause a lot of damage that way if they manage to get their hands on a proximity mine or turret.

[Look. It's like 30% seeing his not!girlfriend drop dead, and 70% him freaking out about the Nuwa. Let him lash out at the dead. The dead can't get any deader.]

Don't think bargaining with Alice would do shit, honestly. The Nuwa AI made everyone valuable, while everyone on this ship is effectively vulnerable. They're in cahoots. Whatever the outcome, they want to purge one of the groups.

But as for the turret and mine? You know the rules. The killer has to specify a victim in order to place their request. As long as everyone's accompanied somehow, I don't see how one of our friendly neighborhood space invaders will get the chance to do that.

Agreed. Do me a favor, Jason, and convince the others of that fact. We must be careful in who is entrusted with whom.
