WEEK 11

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (11)

monday - thursday

(14) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

Are you asking for their names and skills?

[Grell is quieter than usual, her hands folded on the table and her eyes staring only at the board. she has to do this, so she can get through the discussion instead of running away to isolate herself somewhere.]

A physical description might serve us as well.

Yeah. Why don't you start us off, Grell? [He recognizes the way she's avoiding shutting down because he's doing it, too. But he also trusts her to hold it together and start encouraging people to follow her lead.]
erythristic: (angelina.)

[breathe, Sutcliffe. focus on facts. solid facts. even if one of those facts is that she is there on the other ship.]

Angelina Dalles. Red hair to her chin, good posture, dresses like I do. She's a baroness, a doctor and surgeon. She doesn't have any special powers, she's an ordinary human, but she's sensible past her frivolity and kind as well. I...

[she shouldn't be there.]

I wouldn't doubt if she's been keeping some people alive.
chiseler: (I am sick of listening)

[Luke's first thought: "why did the Nuwa get someone useful?"
Luke's second thought: "How do normal humans survive for so long?"
Luke's third thought: "Who is she to Grell?"]

So they've got at least one thing on their ship we're sorely lacking. [Medical help, he means. A hand rubs at his scar subconsciously.] What's the likelihood of her killing someone if she's probably been keeping them alive?
erythristic: (nothing.)

Unless they target a member of her family, it's not high.

[it's there, but it's not high.]

She'd rather look for another solution, or let someone else go to that extreme.

That makes two of our hostages. [He grins slightly but it's not a grin born of amusement. He's actually sort of worried and Grell might be one of the few who can tell.] Annabeth's probably working herself into a frenzy already trying to figure out the most strategic solution possible to save both ships.

[...but he does vaguely wonder how far she'd go.] It's a matter of finding out how maybe people on Nuwa would actually commit a murder for something like this. It's no longer just our lives at stake, but it's theirs, too, and vice versa. The numbers doubled.
erythristic: (effortless.)

They have more of a reason to kill than we do, all told. They might think a purge is a kinder fate than getting killed by the aliens.

[and they wouldn't want to die themselves. her lips press into a thin line as she considers this.]
chiseler: (a blink of an eye)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-18 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shakes his head.] She wouldn't do that to me. [It's mumbled to himself.] And I really doubt they'd be thinking about mercy-killing us and assuming we won't kill on our ship. I think the real question is how did the Nuwa avoid getting aliens in the first place? Why us?
erythristic: (doors.)

[personal profile] erythristic 2016-08-18 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
We're just that lucky, I suppose. Or it might be that they could only get to one ship.
chiseler: (and if you can't get what you want)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-19 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Well we know someone was watching all of us before we were brought on board. Do you think maybe the aliens were watching too and picked the ship that seemed the easiest to target? We're all kind of...[A hot mess?] Unused to this sort of thing.
