[ Nothing here but garbage. Not sure Jessie belongs here? ]

[That's an unusual relief, actually. And yes, this is where she belongs. She's evil! Don't listen to Adrien.

Since nothing's burning, she'll head on into Cold Storage next door (if no one objects). Maybe investigations are finally starting to go her way.]

[ From hot to cold, huh? When Jessie steps into the cold storage, she'll notice that it is incredibly cold, but enough that she could bare it for a few minutes. There's enough light to see, but it gives off a chilly impression.

One of the roll open freezers seems to have been disturbed; it's not closed entirely. A small beam of light from inside it is shooting out of it. ]

[Well. Considering there's no fun reason to come into this room unless you love snocones...it's probably still not a big deal, whatever. At least Arbok isn't around, he'd hate being in such a cold room.

Holding her arms to her chest, she starts moving closer to that freezer. Please don't let there be evidence inside? The light is enough to draw her attention to it, at least, though.

She boldly opens it from the front. She's immune, she can't die in here.]

What's this about?

[ The freezer rolls open, and it frees a knife that clatters to the floor. Flecks of red chunks scatter from the blade. When Jessie looks inside, she'll see lovely blooms of red ice, splattered through out the interior of the appliance. There's really no grace to the pattern, it seems to have just gushed all across the inside of the box, staining whatever was inside bright, bright red.

Yet there's one sight that might give her more of a fright that frozen over blood: there's a body, familiar but unmoving. Ice particles cling to this corpse.

Todomatsu Matsuno is dead. ]

[She doesn't even look at the knife. For the second time on this ship, Jessie's vision starts to waver and she feels much, much weaker than a woman like her should ever have to. She's perfect, strong, and always in charge.

But that's Todomatsu.

Your Barista, Totty!

She falls to her knees instead, reaching out for him but only resting her gloved hands on the fridge. Jessie doesn't scream when she discovers this body, she starts to cry.]

Todomatsu...no...why is it you? Answer me!

[monsieurchatastrophe]

[after their numerous failures exploring post power outage, adrien dragged Dave to the cold storage... and honestly wished he hadn't when he comes across Jessie crying over todomatsu's corpse]

Jessie... is he... [shakes his head] Dave, we have to move him, it hasn't been that long, maybe we can still--

[maybe it's just hypothermia????]

Yeah, you got it.

[ any trace of joking is gone from dave's face and tone as he allows adrien to drag him into cold storage, though presumably adrien drops his wrist when he tells dave they have to move the body.

but all that blood - ]

We should check... [ his pulse, although dave thinks he knows what he'll find. he reaches down, to check. ]

[If this were Pokémon the first movie, Jessie's tears would be enough to bring Todomatsu back to life. As it stands, when they enter, Jessie has already pulled Totty onto her lap. He looks so young! She's not even looking at his wounds or anything, she's just holding him like he might come back to life.]

Todomatsu, Wake! Up! This isn't a game anymore!

[She's not Pikachu. She doesn't cry to bring Ash back. No, she lifts a gloved hand and slaps Totty's face in the way that only Jessie would, hard enough to leave a mark, but he remains still.]

Adrien, Dave, he's...! Who did this?!

[He's not breathing. The narration did call him dead, after all, so I'll look like an idiot if that worked.]

[ Totty is removed from the freezer by Jessie, and when he's in her lap, his body doesn't stain her clothes. Her slap across his cheek doesn't ruse him, either, but his head snaps in the other direction, lifeless.

When Dave checks his pulse, he won't find anything. Not a single beat, and he's ice cold to the touch. Todomatsu is definitely dead. ]

[he didn't actually think there was a chance todomatsu was alive, yet somehow it still hits him in the pit of his stomach when he sees jessie's slap have so little effect. they'll have to check the cold storage, but he can't bring himself to be clinical right now. he moves to put a hand to jessie's shoulder]

Jessie...

[he doesn't know what to say.]

...Fuck. I don't know who did it, but we're gonna find out. We always do.

[ speaking of: he'll glance around to see if there's anything worth seeing as he straightens up, pulling his hand back from totty. ]

It's all my fault! I'm valued, I could've protected him! Todomatsu, you idiot, you should've stuck close to me!

[Jessie isn't going to move from where she's seated. Until the robots come to take him away, she'll be sitting with Todomatsu.

It's up to the boys to investigate now, though Jessie will at least check to see if Todomatsu is carrying his cellphone.]

[ When Jessie checks Todomatsu for his cellphone, she'll notice that no, he doesn't have it on him.

The room itself is spotless; all the blood seems contained to the freezer box. Aside from the bloodied knife, the room is devoid of anything else.

Shortly after Jessie checks Toddy's body for his phone, a pair of robots shuffle into the room. They grab Todomatsu's body away from her, and haul him away. They also take with them the knife, and the only reminder Todomatsu had been in the freezer at all is the gory, bloody freezer. ]
