saturday TRIAL DAY ONE (19) survivors At 9 AM, a klaxon alarm begins blaring in every area of the ship. The alarm will continue to go off until everyone has gathered in the conference room. Should anyone be running late or avoiding the trial for whatever reason, a robot guide will appear wherever they are and gently but firmly escort them into the room. Once all the living players are present, the conference room doors will lock shut; anyone who wishes to leave for whatever reason will need to ask AL-2955 or one of the robots. Anyone leaving for non-investigative purposes, such as bathroom breaks, will be accompanied by a robot escort. The large round table in the center of the conference room has been set up to help the trial run as smoothly as possible. Three holographic screens hover above the center hollow of the table, visible from every angle. The first screen displays the pictures and profiles of the suspects and victim; the second displays the autopsy report; the third displays a blank word processor. Each of the chairs comes equipped with a virtual keyboard which can be used to type information directly into the third screen, such as theories and updated information; they can also be set into privacy mode, which will transfer whatever notes someone writes directly into their datapad instead of on screen. There's also a tablet function for those who wish to draw charts or pictures on screen. The keyboards will detect the DNA of whoever's using them and record who's typed what - simply press an area of text and the name of whoever wrote it will pop up. The area to the right of the table has been temporarily sectioned off with a glass partition and sliding door for hygienic issues. Inside, the victim's body has been laid out on a metal autopsy table, covered by a plastic sheet. Above it is a holographic screen that displays a close-up color photograph of the body when it was found. A hand sanitizer dispenser has been considerately attached to the wall nearby for anyone getting up close and personal to the body. To the left of the conference table is a display case. Any evidence found during the investigation will be carefully collected by the robots at some point the previous day and placed here before the trial starts. Beneath each piece of evidence is a small tablet where players can type up information, such as a short description or where it was found. There are also empty areas left over for any evidence that may be found during the trial. The shelf at the very bottom of the case has been reserved for an extra rulebook in case anyone needs it. Food will be served throughout the day by the robots, who will take individual orders whenever you're feeling hungry. The trial will end at 9:00 PM, at which point all players will have been expected to cast their vote.

[Yuno and the strange boy gets a look - was this the boy she mentioned her first few days here? she still knew the name, Yukki. it's not a great picture, she thinks, because she doesn't understand Dave's art, but it's still apparent what it is. was this...her desired future?

instead of stealing the picture, Grell instead goes to the desk, and picks up the cup of flowers there. she'll refill it when they go to check the bathroom as a courtesy, after all, Yuno's been busy!

no comment on that fish, though.]

[Okay well Judar's just going to ignore the picture, because that would be admitting he might have done something nice for Yuno? And frankly, fuck that noise. Grell can continue thinking it's from Dave, she will never know the truth.

The fish he raises an eyebrow at though.] So that's where that went. [And he'll go ahead and snoop in her drawers while he's there.]

[ yuno's drawers are a mess of papers. notably, there's an obscene amount of toothpicks in them. the first drawer is home to pens and pencils, and some office supplies she took without permission. scissors, paperclips, a stapler that looks like it was literally broken off a desk? yuno.

the second drawer is the one stuffed with papers. opening it up will show a notebook, very plain and nondescript. opening it up, however, reveals that yuno is living up the "stalker" bit on her profile: there are extensive notes on the whereabouts of judar, handsome jack, elizabeth and dave strider. the notes on dave in particular seem to get more erratic the deeper in you go, ultimately becoming a strange spiral of seemingly unrelated words. strangely, the notes on judar, jack and elizabeth are readable.

beneath the notebook is... a very large stack of papers. the papers are print out images of the aforementioned people -- they all seem to have been taken with a tablet and printed out from the printer in the robotics bay. on the back of each picture is a date and a time; for example, apparently yuno was stalking jack at 3:45pm on a thursday, week 7. each paper has the time and date written on the back. there isn't a single one out of order, and they're all in order, held together with paperclips.

there's also a stack of letters addressed to handsome jack, elizabeth, dave and judar at the very bottom. are they going to invade her privacy to that extent?? ]

[...yeah. so that's a thing. that is definitely a thing they are witnessing right now. this is what Yuno does in her spare time? at least it's some sort of pastime.

if Judar allows, Grell is going to reach out and slowly shut the drawers, putting all the evidence of their local yandere back where it came from.]

That isn't related to this trial, I think.

[The worst part of this is how Judar doesn't look even remotely creeped out, just kind of resigned. He's used to being stalked by pink haired teenage yanderes, this is honestly making him feel kind of nostalgic for home.]

If she's gonna take pictures of me, she needs to get a better angle. [AND THAT'S ALL HE'LL SAY ON THAT go ahead and shut that drawer. He'll go check out the bathroom and leave the examination of a teenage girl's clothing up to Grell.]

[ honestly, there isn't much to inspect in yuno's bathroom. her counter top is free of make up, but there is a plastic package of red hair ties there. she's half way through it, and there's one on the floor. it is destined for the trash can now... it's probably worth noting that she has three bottle of shampoo and conditioner in her shower, though. judar probably gets it. #longhairstruggles you know

yuno's closet is full of exceptionally ordinary clothes. grell might be scandalized by how short some of her skirts are, and there's three pairs of her school uniform in her closet. there's also a black mini dress and a pair of long, long black boots that seemingly would match, though. aside those, her closet is pretty normal--

hahaha just fucking with you. a quick glance of yuno's clothes is all you'll get before there's a bucket falling over and hitting you in the head, grell. it's water from the pool! hopefully your eyes and mouth were closed or else the chlorine's gonna sting and taste horrible ]

no, okay, she screams when the water hits her, backing up and now soaked to the skin and trying to wipe her face from this water but now her makeup is going to be ruined and it's in her eyes and oh god Judar help it burns and she did not plan on getting wet.

[UGH SULKILY WATERING THE FLOWERS and deliberately adding far more than necessary he hopes these flowers drown. He gives the rest of the bathroom a quick glance, reminding himself that he should get this poor girl some decent make-up.]

Huh, I should borrow her conditioner if I ever--

[But then Grell's screaming and he literally flies out of the bathroom, staff at the ready to cast a spell at whatever devious murderer was hiding in the closet!!

And then he just. Has to stare for a minute. Excuse him while he just doubles over with laughter.]

[she is suffering and all you do is laugh? she watched you jump due to the popper and didn't laugh! wow! Judar this is not helping your case to get adopted!

let her storm past to get a towel and dry herself off a little...ugh, her hair is going to smell awful now and it won't dry in the braids it's in...]

If you've got enough time to laugh you could look in the closet yourself!

It's not enjoyable! I should fill that bucket and dump it on your head, and then you'd understand. Now we're going to have to stop at my room before we go back...

[she's not going back with wet clothes and spoiled mascara.]

There's nothing more in the closet, is there?

[at least she'll put the flowers back...while still pressing a towel to her hair.]

I got chunks of Machias and Jason's ass dropped on my head yesterday, you really think I care about a bucket of water at this point? [Waving a hand at her flippantly.] This should be a sign that you need to get waterproof make-up anyway.

[let Judar do your eyeshadow and mascara Grell...or at least lend you his waterproof kohl]

Nah, nothing bloody or torn in here. Told you she didn't do it.

[putting the towel back in the bathroom, she hopes Yuno will have an explanation for that unnecessary trap.]

But what do you mean, waterproof? Aren't cosmetics supposed to come off with water?

[And then his brain catches up with what his mouth is saying and he just stops dead in his tracks, staring at her in horror.]

Wait, you don't know what waterproof make-up is? How - what do you do when it rains, just let it run? Do you never go to the beach or anything? Does everyone where you come from just avoid water, what the shit--

[NO??? Listen, he's a water/ice mage and his bff uses water magic, this is the most horrifying thing he's ever heard in his life. Screw investigating, he's immediately heading out of Yuno's room, dragging Grell by the arm if he has to.]

Okay, we're dropping by my room first. This is way more important than the trial.

[whatever you say, Judar! she doesn't need to be dragged, she'll follow him happily and they can just say they did a good investigation in Yuno's room because she is clearly the most innocent. plus, Grell's way more curious about how magical this must be to send Judar into such a determined state.

come back to the trial with changed clothes and a new makeup look, why not.]
