WEEK 9

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (9)

monday - thursday

(21) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

I think I'll pass. [He waits for a moment before crouching down a little to not only get a better look at her work but also at her. Nobody's doing very well this week, but bringing it up right off the bat seems cruel even for him. So he nods along, a hand coming up to gently poke one of the items but not enough to damage its shape.]

Somehow I got the impression, what with the baking and now this. I've never been really good at this kind of stuff. Takes way too much patience. [And like with the baked goods, he has one important question.] What're you gonna do with all of these when they dry?
bloodteller: (if you say you will)

I'm not sure. [ it sounds like she hadn't considered it at all. just something to do, mindlessly. moderation and yuno are not friends, so when she ignores it to bulldoze in "what the fuck why", she finds the tiniest bit of comfort. ]

Here. [ her hands are still a bit messy, but she plucks a tiny... letter opener? no it's a sword. yuno picks a hard clay sword up. it's no bigger than palm sized, and she holds it out for him. ] I'll give you this one. I don't know if heroes always use swords, but it fits you.
chiseler: (ask a reason and no reply)

Maybe we can replace all of the statues of Alice that're around the ship. [He's mostly musing to himself, but when she holds up the small sword he pauses again. It's...cute? Sure, that's the word he'll use and he's not taking it immediately because the words are sinking in.

Hero. Riiiight. After a moment he nods and picks the sword from her fingers, holding it flat in his hand to examine it.]
Pretty strong word, Yuno...but it's pretty cool. [And then, awkwardly:] Thanks. [A lingering pause.] ...why would you use that word?
bloodteller: (you don't breathe so you can't leave)

[ she opens her mouth to responds, but yuno considers her options here. if she prods about luke's secret, will he prod about her's? her mouth closes after a moment of weighing the likelihood of that, and a frown settles in. the son of hermes, is it. perhaps her own name sounds familiar; the y instead of j might throw him off enough that the idea hasn't struck him just yet. however, it's quite the ironic name, considering all that has happened to her. ]

It seems like it fits you. That's all.

chiseler: (ain't it strange?)

[He hasn't. He hasn't figured anything out yet though it may be solely because he's not looking hard enough. The trouble with it is that he like Yuno that he's not entirely looking for flaws yet, though he's calculative and carefully watching her. It's a conflict of interests. He knows her secret, and while he isn't solely focused on it it's very hard to ignore.

So…he settles for swinging the tiny sword carefully in a mimic of a move he could create with Backbiter.]

I think the distinct lack of spandex might be a problem. [It's a gentle slight against the furries okay. But there's a pause. May as well continue.] But most demigods wind up trying to be heroes anyway. Maybe you've got a point. [He's testing her, really, seeing where she's at and seeing where she's going to take the conversation next.]
bloodteller: (i was five and you were six)

[personal profile] bloodteller 2016-08-05 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[ ah. if he expects her to talk about her secret, then he's mistaken, instead, yuno smiles lightly, tiredly. it's a ghost of a smile that slides across her lips. ]

I wouldn't know about demigods. [ this is not a lie. yuno isn't a demigod. ] Heroes, too. Those are new to me, but I never thought I'd meet a child of a god, to begin with. It must be difficult. Do you do well?
chiseler: (ain't it beautiful? so unusual)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-05 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[At this point he expects nothing. He's simply conversational, and if it distracts her a bit he's fine with it for now. He'll just have to be sneaky in his assessments.]

Not well enough sometimes. [A bitter little smirk. Considering he's dead, he's not sure that's something one would consider well.] But there're a lot more of us than people would think. Some of us are heroes. Some of us aren't. But we've all gotta deal with monsters every now and then.
