WEEK 9

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (9)

monday - thursday

(21) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

Wednesday early evening, weapons locker
[She's hoping how exciting this place is by virtue of being new has worn off in the past week, because Clover is eternally in "avoid everyone" mode, but she still needs a place open enough to practice. There are always too many people in the gym and the gardens and the viewport, but this will do.

Anyone passing by or otherwise here to check out the cool sharp things will find Clover with her sick new laser weapon, slicing at nothing, spinning and twisting it in her hands, trying to jump and run and duck and swing it at the same time. Every now and again she pauses to flip through a notebook she's set on a nearby table; the instructions Arumat left.

There's sharpness in her expression but little else, focused but unfeeling. Maybe be out of range if you're going to interrupt her??

Throughout the week, nights, fuel reserve
[Apparently Clover's found her new favorite hideaway, so throughout the week, in the hours where most everyone else has begun to wind down but haven't quite left for bed yet, she hangs out here, scythe ever-present at her side, sitting on the bridge between whichever robots are visiting, utterly entranced by the orb.]

Wildcard
[As always, let me know if you want to do anything else!! Clover's keeping weird hours and out of people's way as usual, but I'm happy to set up an encounter.]

[eventually, Clover will feel eyes on her, studying her movements. Grell feels like someone put salt in the wound on her arm with Arumat's death, but it can't erase that there was a promise there. a last request, in black and white.

and she speaks, after around ten minutes of observation.]

You're more used to smaller weapons, aren't you?

[Clover doesn't much like the feel of being watched, so Grell won't get a full ten minutes before, following a whole lot of glancing at and away from Grell in hopes that she might take a hint, Clover ends up making a big show of going back to and flicking through her notebook instead of slashing at the air anymore—but she does look up when Grell speaks.]

...I guess. [Frankly, she isn't used to weapons at all; the axe was all adrenaline, and this scythe is just bad luck.]

[going to her notebook is the cue Grell needs, pulling a letter from somewhere hidden in her clothes (it's a murdership do i need to logic this) and placing it down on the table besides. it's addressed to Grell, in a familiar handwriting. Arumat's handwriting.]

You don't seem much in the mood for divining the meaning in sentences for the true conversation, so out of courtesy, I'll speak plainly. I can train you, if you wish. And in the interest of being completely honest, it's not solely from the altruism in my heart. I was asked to do this, by your prior teacher.

[which is why she took out the letter. honesty right now is the most she can give anyone - they have no reason to trust her anymore, with her secret out. showing her own hand until things quiet down and she is allowed to possess secrets again is as much for her sake as theirs.]

Not to say the offer isn't sincere. Better I use my knowledge to help instead of harm, hm?
