WEEK 9

the pygmalion. . .

ONLINE

CAPTAIN'S LOG:
WEEK (9)

monday - thursday

(21) survivors

Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods.

(OOC: Please submit your murder proposals by 9 PM EST Tuesday.)

ENTER COMMAND_
bloodbiter: (he shot up in the sky like a)

I suppose it would.

[here she comes to take a seat next to him. he doesn't get to be a loner, sorry luke.]

How are you feeling?

[after everything happened so much. she's not going to bring up the secrets directly, at least.]
chiseler: (life's a gas and it's running out)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-02 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Internal shrieking. That's happening, but he doesn't think to push her away or anything. She's asking him a question he doesn't quite have an answer to and he shrugs, trying for a slightly charming smile.]

Alive, I suppose. [...that could have been phrased better, considering.] I mean...after nine weeks of this, I'm not sure how we're supposed to feel.
bloodbiter: (one small step for buzz)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-08-02 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt there's one specific way she wants us to feel. All I know is that she wants us to suffer.

[kill alice 2kwhatever year it is here.]

...I'm glad, though. [about the whole alive thing.] I knew you didn't do it, but... I wasn't certain everyone else knew.
chiseler: (nothing more to say)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-02 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that might be the most intelligent guess so far. The thing is that people suffer in a bunch of different ways and she's capitalizing on all of them. That's the main reason we haven't broken her cycle yet. [A pause.] And now that she's proving some of the motives really are true, it'll be worse.

[A wry smile.] Worried I'd get falsely accused, Adelina?
bloodbiter: (i am the king of boxes and wire spools)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-08-02 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that's true. I've wondered if the motives are all tailored to one participant, something that would be extremely appealing to them. It's rather cruel.

[a huff]

You could have. There's no shame in being worried.
chiseler: (say it again)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-02 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been wondering the same thing. Make the motive seem vague but phrased just enough to drive one person to the point of insanity. Also makes you wonder if other effects are in place she hasn't told us. Remember what happened with Machias and the paranoia?

[…heh. That's…weirdly sweet, he thinks.] I could have. But I wouldn't worry 'bout it too much. [Finally, he looks at the datapad with a look of discontent.] I've got a feeling most people on the ship won't be too worried about it thanks to Alice. [After all, what's the point of worrying about keeping a dead guy alive? (Yes, it's antagonistic thinking, but whatever.)]
bloodbiter: (remember to feed yourself and stay hot)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-08-03 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
She at least informed us that was going to occur, but... You're right. I don't trust that she's telling us everything or not lying to us outright.

[sighs.]

...Don't say that. You have people here who care about you. If we make it to the end of this, maybe something can be done.

[to make him less dead. who knows.]

chiseler: (sets off an unsuspecting herd)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-03 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
If I wanted the upper hand I wouldn't tell people everything. It's smart on her part, but it's just really bad for us.

[He lifts an eyebrow.] There are things that can be done at home, sort of. Depends on the judgment delivered and all that. And what's this "if" business? I plan on getting as many people to the end of this as possible so long as I'm still here. [Since it's Addie, he doesn't feel so weird saying so.]
bloodbiter: (control your body fluids)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-08-04 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Being unfortunate for us is hardly surprising at this point, I must say.

[a small pause.]

I'm glad to hear that. Ah - about things that can be done in your home. [and then a nod.] Of course. I would expect no less from you.
chiseler: (what's worth forgiving?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-08-04 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
For all we know she just wants the project to end faster and that's why we're lacking information. That wouldn't surprise me either.

[…to tell her…or not to tell her…] …Adelina let me ask you something. What do you know about reincarnation? Anything?
bloodbiter: (i gave you food and you gave me bees)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-08-10 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I know the meaning of the concept.

[she tilts her head slightly, waiting for him to elaborate]

That's the thing that can be done for me when I go back. It's called rebirth...once I get sorted and if I truly get into Elysium, I have the option to go through rebirth. I won't be myself after that, but I get another chance to live. Sounds kind of nice, doesn't it?
