monday - thursday (21) survivors Sunday's trial was only mere hours ago, but you find yourself faced with a new week on The Pygmalion. When you awaken, you will find the ship restored to its previous state, all areas interfered with during the murder looking mostly the same as they did before. Along with this, it appears there are new areas opened on the ship. It seems you have more exploring to do. The robot in the cafeteria has prepared another breakfast of various foods. tuesday afternoon, gym

[if anyone tried to find her on monday... well, you probably didn't have much luck. that being said, on tuesday she can be found beating the shit out of a punching bag, so there's that!

she seriously seems to be going at that thing. teeth clenched, kicking and punching over and over again. how long has she even been in here? probably a while. she seems to be pretty focused on the activity, but if someone says anything to her she'll snap out of it enough to respond. someone please tell her to find her chill.]

wednesday evening, fuel reserve

[by wednesday, while she's still deeply bothered by the secret reveals, she's at least well enough to go exploring around the ship. she looks around the recreation room for a while, but it doesn't really interest her much. certainly not as much as the fuel reserve fascinates her as she comes across it. she's standing on the bridge and staring up at the energy orb, curious.

if she sees anyone enter, she'll turn back towards and ask a simple question.]

What is that thing? Do you know?

[ Adam has taken to go around in the evenings to avoid people as much as possible, but Adelina is someone he doesn't mind being around, so he doesn't leave. ]

Well... it's creating energy. That's why it's illuminating the room. My guess is that it's the whole reason the ship can keep going.

But I've never actually seen anything like this.

That orb is creating energy somehow? And it... isn't magic?

[so weird to think about. she frowns.]

Do you find it as impressive as I do?

I might think magic if everything else here weren't so advanced. Maybe a little of science and magic both. [ He can't really rule anything out. ]

It seems self-sustaining, which usually isn't possible for long amounts of time. It's really impressive. [ There's a pause as he considers it. ] Remember that power drain that happened last week? Do think it was to do with this?

You don't think magic can be advanced?

[fight her]

Oh, I wouldn't know. I'm hardly familiar with any of the technology that's prominent here. But... If this supplies the energy and we lost energy, it would seem to make sense.

[antietam]

No, I didn't mean it like that. Although in my experience, magic tends to stem from archaic roots and ends up being stubborn—but, you know, time really isn't a factor when it comes to all of that. [ Adam? Shut up? ]

I wondered if it was sabotaged, but it's hard to imagine messing with this without taking it all out.

[bloodbiter]

Stubborn? What do you mean by that?

[a frown.]

Who would sabotage it? One of the monsters, you think?

[Tell Adelina to chill? Nah. Here comes better advice from someone who's been watching for a while.]

Keep going! Hit harder! Show that stupid punching bag everything you've got, Adelina!

[She's sure Adelina needs to get something out of her system more than she needs to stop.]

[she's startled out of action for a moment until she absorbs what jessie's saying, but once she does... yeah, she's continuing. she does say something in between strikes, though.]

[because jessie's secret sure was a thing as well.]

[And isn't that the important thing here? That Jessie doesn't mind? She moves closer, stepping in for a few punches the next time Adelina pauses. She's pretty tough herself, really, what did this poor punching bag do in another life to have to endure these two women pounding away at it.]

Probably something she doesn't want us to mess with. Not sure if that's because it'd shut her down or just blow up the ship or something, though.

Even if it did neither of those things, it looks rather unsafe to approach.

Only in movies. And yeah, I wouldn't get too close until you're really, really done with this place.

I don't know who's left who would know much about something like that. Jack or Fiona, maybe. Possibly Machias...?

I certainly am, but in the way you seem to be implying. I imagine one of the robots would stop me were I approaching that point, regardless.

I could ask Machias, certainly. It's almost nicer not to have an explanation, though.

[at some point there will be no one left to kill, so...possibly then]

I wonder what happens when stuff hits it. Does it just burn up, like a giant bug zapper? ...Uh, they're electric devices that attract flies and mosquitoes and stuff and zap them so they don't just eat you alive.
