bloodbiter: (this duel was over the moment i saw)

I'm not certain I agree with that completely, but... It is what I want. If it could become even a bit more peaceful and safe for people to live, I would be more than satisfied.

[she shakes her head]

Not terribly long. I'm still learning. And you?
bloodbiter: (if i had six fingers on one hand)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-07-06 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it would be rather obvious, were it true.
bloodbiter: (toitus if you will)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-07-06 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. I'm glad it won't prove too tempting for you. All the same, I hope you won't be penalized for losing it when you return home?
monsieurchatastrophe: (I'm sure there's room somewhere)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[adrien seems to take it in stride, just giving a soft "oh" in thought.]

Technically you could, but that'd leave it to be up to interpretation. And people's interpretations here can be... kinda off. [what a nice way to put "dicks. dicks everywhere". adrien shrugs] Alright, I'll make the announcement on the board. I'll just leave a note to ask you about it if they're confused.

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[laughs a bit because he might complain but he genuinely enjoys how odd they are, so.] Yep. He went by Monsieur Pigeon. That was... surprisingly tough. Didn't help that I'm allergic to feathers.
monsieurchatastrophe: (then I'll stretch maybe sketch)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you calling me a liar, Adelina?

[dramatically puts his hand over his heart in a "woe is me" fashion]
bloodbiter: (i guess i'll go fuck myself)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-07-06 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes.

[so blunt]

I am sorry, though.

monsieurchatastrophe: (when will my life begin?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
For calling me a liar? You should be. [is he being obtuse on purpose. maybe.]
bloodbiter: (on a scale of one to stupid)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2016-07-06 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
No, not for that. [wow] For kicking you.
monsieurchatastrophe: (I'm completely free)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry about it. It doesn't hurt much. [didn't he say it was broken two seconds ago. he grins at her] Anyway, if I held every accidental hit I've gotten against the perpetrators, I would've stopped talking to Marinette a long time ago.
chiseler: (hit 'em right between the eyes)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-06 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
You can say one thing and do another. For all we know somebody's gonna downplay how important their item really is. [Kinda like what he's doing. He's watching all of Machias's movements, carefully thinking it over.]

What would you think of somebody if, say, their item was something all-powerful and life-altering? Would you think they're more suspicious?
chiseler: (ask a reason and no reply)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-06 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[He wants to ask why she wouldn't agree, but he'll come back to that in a sec.]

I've been on my own since I was 9 but I've been learning to fight a little before that. It's been a while...you start to learn how to tackle pretty much anything when you're out on the field. There're places we can go to train, too, but I didn't have that option for the first five years.
chiseler: (I promise I'll behave)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-06 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Flatly:] I'm not drawing something that can be interpreted as a circlejerk. [Just throwing that out there. That's it, that's the nice way.] But I think that's for the best. Thanks, man.

[...and because he can't help it.] Alice is right. You are a good cat.
monsieurchatastrophe: (it's like 7:15)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
What's a circle... no, on second thought, I don't want to know. [self preservation for both of them tbh. and then he's just. pouting]

Ha, ha. Why is everyone treating me like the ship's house pet?
chiseler: (say it again)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-06 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[THANKS FOR THAT, he'd really rather not have...to...explain...#keepadrienpure etc etc. He shrugs and he's finally sauntering away from the cases to resume his place in his observation chair.]

Probably because you're young and impressionable. Or the fact you have an actual cat suit. Take your pick, I've got my own reasons.
monsieurchatastrophe: ('til the floor's all clean)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"Impressionable"? [does he actually sound legitimately offended at that? by god. he does. he's walking towards what he knows is Marinette's case without looking at Luke because he's trying not to let it show that assessment bothers him] So what are your reasons, if they're not from that list?
todorable: (hey man)

[personal profile] todorable 2016-07-06 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
You're here with me, though. And I'm valuable.

[a fact he seems really overly pleased about]

What could possibly go wrong?
todorable: (so brave)

[personal profile] todorable 2016-07-06 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
We're in a serious situation, Luke. If I can help save lives for the minor cost of less time spent waiting for our next serving of soylent green, I'm willing to make that sacrifice.

...You can still get in on it, if you want.
chiseler: (and as you step back into line)

[personal profile] chiseler 2016-07-06 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's allowing his eyes to follow because he wants to know where he's going and see what other information he can pick up. He's not at all sorry about that assessment either, but he folds his arms over his chest and leans back in his chair.]

You remind me of somebody I knew back home. That same kind of belief that people will be good at the end of the day? It's exactly the same. [Annabeth and Adrien both have a tendency to want to trust people and believe in people. Even with everything Luke did at the end, it was Annabeth who still believed and who could still reach him. With her dagger here, he's thinking about a lot of things.] Pretty sure that kind of thing could be a game-changer.

[personal profile] toprotecttheworld 2016-07-06 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
What, you're telling me you spent all that time in your cardboard fortress and never figured it out for yourself? That's a little pathetic.

[She says "pathetic," but there's warmth in her voice because she still likes Shelley. Probably.]

I'd show you myself, but some tricks are best kept up my own sleeve. You can ask anyone who came by in the morning, though. I was locked in tight.

[...

...and really, would anyone release her willingly.]
todorable: (wink☆彡)

[personal profile] todorable 2016-07-06 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Items? --No, no, think less 'security guard' and more 'escort.' The service I'm offering protects people and (hopefully) saves lives! Interested, yet?
monsieurchatastrophe: (should I?)

[personal profile] monsieurchatastrophe 2016-07-06 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[the case he stops in front of simply contains a sketchbook, if a rather girly one. He turns to look at Luke with a perplexed expression soon enough, though]

A "game-changer"... I hope so. [he doesn't sound so sure himself, because when he thinks of someone like that, he thinks of ... well, not himself.] Were you and that person close? You sound like you had a high opinion of them.

[what with considering that attitude a game changer etc]

[ Whoa, someone was watching over everything? Elizabeth had returned only to see a picture that she seemed to be surprised of its existence. In a neatly ornate frame was a picture of Booker DeWitt in Battleship Bay, the view of the man-made ocean visible in the back. She wonders when it had been taken, but that's another question for another day. Neatly presented in front of it was a key and a ticket on the First Lady zeppelin to Paris. Everything was legible. The symbol on the key was visible - matching the brooch that rests against her throat. ]

Is it hard to guess?

[ Elizabeth says calmly, not shy at all in approaching her case. ]

The only ones looking from another time period all together.
todorable: (hey man)

[personal profile] todorable 2016-07-06 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[gotta take your victories where you can]

Alice having no taste was pretty obvious from the moment we showed up here in those gross jumpsuits. Or I guess you could count the whole fact that this setup exists at all, but whatever.

[he waves a hand airily, amazing what a week off can do. and being able to rock a uniform is certainly a merit of its own]

Anyway, you're here, aren't you? So I assumed there was something you wanted done that'd be easier with someone of value around.

[yeahhh, he's just gonna keep milking that, especially if no one's gonna call him on it]

[ Kazuma?? ] Sorry, but that seems kind of ridiculous. I mean, you probably disappeared out of thin air. If they're your friends, they think you're important.
